{"id":488,"date":"2008-02-23T06:11:14","date_gmt":"2008-02-23T13:11:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.destinationcreation.com\/informatives\/?p=488"},"modified":"2025-04-12T11:37:09","modified_gmt":"2025-04-12T15:37:09","slug":"homer-simpson-in-the-flesh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.destinationcreation.com\/informatives\/homer-simpson-in-the-flesh\/","title":{"rendered":"Homer Simpson: In the Flesh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: none;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.destinationcreation.com\/informatives\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/02\/homer125-itf.jpg\" alt=\"homer125-itf.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A few months ago, we released our first feature in our Reality Simpsons Study, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.destinationcreation.com\/informatives\/?p=26\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">depicting Homer as he would appear if he were a real person<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this creative study was to find a happy median between the anatomical proportions of the cartoon characters and those of real human beings.<\/p>\n<p>While some were intrigued, others were offended by the monstrosities resulting from our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.destinationcreation.com\/informatives\/?p=128\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">transformations of the entire family<\/a>. However, everybody appeared to be creeped out, if not horrified by the \u2018Simpsonoids\u2019.<br \/><!--more--><br \/>Ignoring the creative purpose of the study, many die-hard fans protested the original Homer creation, stating that it did not accurately depict him. While it is not our role to satisfy cry babies, their cries did catch our creative attention.
